The Coronavirus pandemic accentuates the fact that the non-profit sector greatly needs bright, dedicated students who can grow their leadership skills, build professional acumen, and develop creativity and out of the box thinking. We are all needed at the table right now as we step up into the gaps for those who have been most affected by this global crisis and as we imagine what the world will look like going forward. So we invite you to claim your seat at the table.

Without further ado, 6 reasons to consider a Compassion Connect internship (in person or virtual) this summer, fall, or in a future time:

1.) Hands-on, career-building nonprofit experience with a small team who values your opinions and contributions.

“Compassion Connect friends, I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with and learn from each of you. I felt so included and taken care of here. I hope more interns get to experience your kindness in the future. I pray that this place, and your work, will be forever protected by the Father and be blessed and multiply. He is glorified by the things done in this place. I hope to work with each of you sometime again in the future.” –Stephanie, former intern

2.) A custom-built internship that uniquely suits your interests/goals and Compassion Connect’s needs.

“Interning with Compassion Connect is such a special experience. From day one you are a part of not just a team but part of a family working together towards the mission of uniting the church to serve! Through my experience with CC, I feel like I grew in my understanding of what it means for the Body of Christ to be truly united!

Through my internship, I was able to dive into research, grow in new skills, and build relationships with girls at the Design Studio. There is so much to be learned about Christ through relationships with these girls and understanding a small glimpse of the world through their eyes. Through my internship, the Design Studio was able to pilot a youth entrepreneurship and job skills program over the next year, and the experiences and skills that I gained through my internship have helped launch me into my career!” -Dana

3.) Flexibility: we work with your schedule and availability. Some internship hours may also be worked remotely.

“When I learned that Compassion Connect brought church unity and anti-human trafficking networks together to fight this injustice in our city, I saw my two passions collide and could not have been more excited. Through this internship I was able to see the church work as the body to love at-risk youth and build relationships with the girls we had coming every week to the Design Studio. My favorite thing about interning with Compassion Connect was the fun activities we got to do with the girls like make homemade blankets for the humane society or bake cookies! There was always something fun that the loving mentors put on with the girls and even on the hard days, it was encouraging to be there.” -Kaedyn

4.) Free access to conferences & trainings such as the Global Leadership Summit.

“My internship at Compassion Connect allowed me to gain practical and relevant experience by learning alongside seasoned staff, and serving as a mentor to teens through real-life experiences.” -Rachel

5.) Inclusion in staff activities & fun days (we eat a lot of donuts).

“Compassion Connect is a really neat place to work at and with. You bring people together and set towards goals they are best at achieving where others just want to gather more followers. I learned a lot and was happy to be part of the team!” -Jonathan

6.) Fun Compassion Connect swag (enough said)
