In 2006 volunteers from several churches came together in Portland’s Rockwood neighborhood to host the very first Compassion Clinic. One of the churches involved had been sparked by a simple question after many medical missions trips to Mexico: “Why don’t we do this in our own backyard?” The insight gained through the first Clinic gave them a passion and focus to form an organization whose purpose is to help mobilize Jesus followers to get outside the four walls

In addition to Compassion Clinics, we also offer the Church tangible ways to get involved in anti-trafficking efforts through our Adorned In Grace service model. Community Health: Compassion Clinics
A Compassion Clinic is a free community health clinic led by local Churches and supported by Compassion Connect. In the Portland metro area in 2019, 29 clinic events were held in 15 different neighborhoods. Over 100 churches and more than 2,300 volunteers stepped up to serve their neighbors seeking compassionate health services!

Anti-Trafficking Work: Adorned In Grace
In the Portland Metro area we focus on rallying the Church around three aspects of anti-trafficking work: awareness, prevention, and crisis support for survivors.
