How have the models come to be?
In 2006 through the experience of Compassion Rockwood in Oregon we realized that God was working powerfully through church collaboration and models that allow people to serve in their local communities. In 2008 God allowed us to start Compassion Connect which builds models of ministry that can be implemented by groups of churches anywhere.
We aren’t in the business of replacing or supplanting the church but rather creating tools and collaborative relationships that foster and support the local church. This allows The Church to become everything it was designed to be and unleashes great potential when it serves together in unity.
Why do they work?
They work because they are locally led and Compassion Connect knows how to walk alongside communities to help them serve their neighbors well and build Christ-centered relationships.
