Medical Coordination Team:

The Medical Coordination Team provides general oversight of the medical phase of Compassion Clinics (both large and “mini” clinics). Duties may involve assisting inventory management of medical supplies, helping set up medical equipment, communicating with clinic medical team leaders, and leading the medical flow of the events with a team of other volunteer health professionals.

Vision Coordination Team:

The Vision Coordination Team assists Compassion Clinic leaders by securing vision services for their events. Duties may involve building connections with community partners and communicating with medical team leaders as well as assisting with vision screening logistics.

Compassion Clinic Coach:

Do you have experience coordinating Compassion Clinics that you would like to use to help other clinics be successful? This is the role of a Compassion Clinic liaison, an individual who is a direct link between clinic leadership and the Compassion Connect team. This individual is paired with clinic(s) by providing overall encouragement and support to individual clinic leadership teams.

Digital X-Ray Team:

The Digital x-ray coordination team is an important part of the Compassion Clinic Dental Executive Team. Digital x-ray Coordination team members provide general support during the clinic, including setup/breakdown of x-ray equipment and technical support. This team does not take x-rays, but works closely with the dental team leader and volunteer x-ray technicians.

Requirements:

Have some knowledge and experience with troubleshooting computer issues, be willing to work on a team, able to stay composed in busy and high paced environments. Dental x-ray or radiography experience preferred but not required.

Time:

6-12 hours per clinic (Friday/Saturday); 1-10 clinics per year.

Equipment Coordination Team:

The Clinic Equipment Team provides support to each Compassion Clinic by assisting with setup and breakdown of clinic equipment. Responsibilities of this team may include unloading and loading of the mobile clinic equipment and supplies, setting up and breaking down medical and dental equipment, and assisting with the transportation of the air compressor or Compassion Connect trailer.

Health Professional Volunteer Recruitment:

Join the team that supports local clinics through health professional recruitment. As a part of the Health Professional Recruitment team you will support dozens of clinics offering free medical and dental care. You will be building connections with local health care organizations and individual health care workers. Types of health care volunteers recruited are medical, dental, chiropractic, vision, foot care, physical therapy social services, and more.

Requirements:

No experience necessary. Ability to communicate well verbally, over the phone, or email preferred.

Time:

1-4 hours per month/clinic.

Dental Supply Manager:

The Dental Supply Manager is a vital team member providing day-of support for dental clinics through supply inventory management and dental volunteer team support. Each Dental Supply Manager is a part of a team which will serve at various Compassion Clinics throughout the year. Dental Supply Managers are responsible for setting up and organizing the dental supplies the night before a clinic, monitoring and maintaining supplies during the clinic, and staying after to make sure everything is packed up and ready to go for the next clinic (including making note when supplies need replaced).

Requirements:

Requirements: Should be a licensed dental professional or studying to be one. Willing to be trained on Compassion Connect’s unique systems.

Time:

6-10 hours per clinic, 1-10 clinics per year

Dental Sterilization Coordinator:

The Dental Sterilization Coordinator serve as a team member of the Compassion Clinic Dental Team. This role serves in the dental sterilization area, including setup and breakdown of sterilization equipment, and overseeing a small team of sterilization volunteers.

Requirements:

Have dental sterilization experience, be willing to work on a team, able to stay composed in busy and high paced environments.

Time:

10-12 hours per clinic (Friday/Saturday); 1-10 clinics per year.

Compassion Clinic Foot Care Team:

Join this specialty clinic team by compassionately serving guests through clinical foot care. The Compassion Clinic Foot Care Team is a professional volunteer team of foot care nurses and specialists unique from the clinic medical team. The Foot Care Team provides basic foot washing and treatment with attention to health education. Foot Care volunteers provide a personable service to each clinic guests.

Requirements:

Foot care nurses, assistants, and Podiatrists are all welcome to join this team as well as health professionals without foot care experience.

Time:

4-8 hours per clinic; 1-25 clinics per year.

Bridal Shop Sales Associate:

If you love the bridal industry and would like to help our lovely brides find the dress of their dreams while supporting a good cause, this is the volunteer role for you! To provide the most assistance for the prevention of human trafficking and support for survivors, our bridal shops are staffed by volunteer sales associates. If you love the bridal industry and would like to help brides while fighting sexual exploitation and human trafficking, this is the volunteer role for you!

Requirements:

Retail experience helpful but not required.

Time:

Flexible; most volunteers give between 8-12 hours/month.

Compassion Youth Mentoring Opportunities:

We have a variety of roles available at our Compassion Youth Mentoring (CYM) loactions that all help empower young women and men, whether you enjoy mentoring, sewing, teaching a skill, computer science, and more!

Administrative Assistant:

Our Adorned in Grace anti-trafficking team is largely volunteer-run, and we always have room for those who are gifted administrators. This volunteer will assist with anti-trafficking projects, events, trainings, writing policies and procedures, and other HR functions.

Requirements:

Field of study or experience related to Business Administration or Human Resources. Computer and office skills necessary. Requires discretion, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Time:

3-5 hours/week; varies with project.

Resource Team Coordinator:

Our Resource Team provides resources to sexually exploited women and children through the collaboration of local churches. We are looking for a volunteer who can coordinate the collecting, sorting, and delivering of resources to those we serve. This is a fun and easy way to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have been affected by human trafficking!

General Opportunities

Administrative Office Assistant:

We are seeking a skilled administrative volunteer to lead us in organizing and digitizing our records using several systems. We are looking for someone who is a gifted organizer and can take our current paper system and translate it to appropriate online platforms, scanning and sorting current records as well as determining procedures for future uploads. We expect this project to take more than 60 hours and could happen over the course of many weeks or months in a timeframe flexible to the volunteer’s availability. This is an in-person opportunity at our SE Lincoln St. office location. We observe safety guidelines of masks and social distancing.

General Office Assistant:

Compassion Connect is seeking a volunteer office assistant to help with basic bookkeeping, data entry, responding to phone calls, and filing. The hours are flexible but we are hoping for a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week. The Office Assistant will be expected to come by the office once a week to pick up materials and do some a few in-office tasks, but can do much of the work remotely after that. Experience in data entry is preferred but onsite training is available for those who need it.

Grant Writing Team:

Compassion Connect is seeking volunteers to help us create a robust grant program that will help raise thousands of dollars for the ministry and help hundreds of people. Working with a team, a volunteer would help research possible funders and/or write grant narratives and supporting documents for applications and proposals. The hours are flexible and work can be done remotely, but we are hoping for a minimum commitment of 5 hours a month. Grant writing experience is preferred but not necessary, and tasks can be customized to a person’s interests and skills.

Photography/Videography:

Are you a photographer or videographer who would like to use your skills to help others? We are searching for creatives who have the gift of capturing moments that tell a beautiful story. When the story is well told more interest is generated, more people come to the cause, and more people receive compassionate services.
